since you are Joan’s producer, I thought I would post the following letter to you, as well as to Joan, in hopes of getting a response.I am seeking information, advice, recommendations, suggestions. anything would help ! I already posted this to Joan – and if you have any thoughts on this- your recommendations would be appreciated as well:
I’ve been a fan for years. Thank goodness you’re on the radio (just not on long enough during the day). I’m a social worker for Montefiore Homecare, in the Bronx (for the past 23 yrs.), so I spend significant amounts of time in the car, listening to the radio. Again, thank goodness for Joan Hamburg ! I need to call upon your wealth of knowledge. There’s no better person to ask than you ! My wife and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and would like to take an extended (4 night/5 day) weekend in the Carribean over Memorial Day weekend for a romantic brief 2nd honeymoon. Originally we wanted Bermuda, but have been told the temperature may not be warm enough in May. Most important to us is a beatiful beach, clear blue water, good food, nice accommodations, some nightlife, and some culture. Also, since it’s only for a few days, we need a place we can get to with 1 direct flight- don’t want to lose too much time traveling. We are on somewhat of a limited budget, but realize it will be a couple of thousand dollars- just don’t want to go too crazy, since in August 2010 we are planning an extesive family trip for my nephew’s bar mitzvah. Very uniquely, he will have a bar mitzvah in Ireland, and we will take the following week in France. (started this tradition for my son’s bar mitzvah, when he had a bar mitzvah in Spain, w / a following week in Italy- supposed to have a bar mitzvah in Israel, but they decided to escalate the conflict JUST when we were ready to go- so travel agent managed Spain as a back-up> INCREDIBLE experiece!) Anyway, any suggestions, recommendations, advice would be appreciated. Aruba has been recommended, we are considering Puerto Rico as well- but we would consider any recommendations, since we are TOTALLY ignorant.
