News Talk Radio 710, WOR today announced the launch of its new social network, “The Na710n.” The site is the only radio station-run online community of its kind, enabling listeners to connect with each other as well as their favorite hosts and the station staff. Users are able to interact through group threads, user wires, and live chats. WOR show hosts will be directly participating in many of the features, both during their shows and when they are off the air.
The site was named by WOR listener Stuart Goldstein after a summer-long contest, which received thousands of entries, inviting listeners to enter their suggestions.
“WOR has long been an innovator in providing great talk radio, and we are so excited to offer our listeners this great new way to connect with us and each other,” said Jerry Crowley, VP/General Manager.
“The Na710n will continue to keep WOR on the front lines as the Internet becomes a more significant distribution platform for radio content,” said WOR Director of Interactive and designer of “The Na710n” Jared Lapin.
The site can be accessed directly at na710n.com or by clicking on the link provided at WOR710.com.

I wake up to Joe Barlett at 500 am and continue to listen to John Gambling until 8:00 am. WOR is a great joy. The Gambling show is informative and entertaining. John demonstrates a lot of common sense when he talks to politicans or to call in listeners. he does not insult or talks down to any call in person if they agree or do not agree with him. You can form your own opinion just by listening to WOR. I also at times agree with Joe Bartlett’s point of view. Keep up the good work your ratings can only grow.

I hope this site will give me more to look forward to. I have sent important information to others which needs to be brought out into the open and have not received any response. Many elders who are on Medicare are paying extra each month becasue in 2007 the IRS had given Social Security records of all who are on Medicare. They went back two years and implemented an extra cost each month according to their ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME. In 2007 it started with people who had an AGI of $80,000. SInce then this axtra cost has gone up. Most elderly people already pay for supplemental insurance each month. Approx 17 years ago MEdicare B cost $22 a month. Now it costs 96.40 a month + a surcharge according to the AGI.
If you are working you need NOT apply for Medicare B but once you do retire…watch out. ANd if you do not enroll who get CHARGED a 10% penalty the REST OF YOUR LIFE on the cost of MEDICARE PART B and the charge charge for each year you were late…So if your were late 4 years signing up for some reason you would be charge an additional 40% THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. Even when the cost of MEDICARE ZOOMS up, there will be no pitty for you. The law is the law…..What is going to happen when this BILL in passed for healthcare….who will really pay the price for this care……………..I ask you WHO!

I was listening to John Gambling today (10/01.09) around 7:30-8:30 AM. I heard a discussion of about approximately $2 billion cost increases voted by Congress for support services of some sort. I wold like to know the source of the above info so I could read it in full. I’ve googled WOR, The Hill, Fox, NY Times, Washington Times, etc and have not been able to find any reference to the $2 Billion appropriation.
Can anyone inform me?

This Nation thing is new to me…but I’ll give it a try. I enjoy John Gambling and agree with John 99.9% of the time which means I agree with Joe Bartlett .1% of the time which in itself is a scary thought. Joe and John make a great team and JJ is fantastic…. This Gambling show is even better that the 770 Gambling radio show…
John, I heard you speaking to Rangel this morning but missed the beginning of the interview…I hope you hit Rangel hard on his cheating and lying on his disclosure statements. Let’s get this clown to resign or thrown off the Ways and Means Committee.

Thank you for having Dr. Hoffman’s talk show on the air. I appreciate the fact that you put his show on line since I am unable to access your radio station from Montana.
His show is always interesting and some new knowledge in alternative medicine can be acquired. This is an area which needs more development in health care.

I heard that ACORN will be getting congressional funding again after October 31, 2009. Please call your two Senators and congressman or congresswoman and tell them to stop this outrageous funding!!! ACORN is a criminal enterprize and is envolved with the Whitehouse activities itself.

This site will either be shut down by the internet police or will be a beacon of common sense. It depends on the level of control we as currently free thinking Americans are willing 2 tolerate. I surmise that our nation’s forefathers who were anarchists in their own right, would agree that the power of written word otherwised known as speech coupled with the power of a vote along with a gun is God’s (if there is one. {See pascal’s gambit}) way. Survival of the fittest. One man, one gun, one vote. There is order in chaos. There always will be. And control. You’ll need to distinguish Bull for yourself. Some of these sideshows actually go out and say outright lies. Calling motherf$%kers on that is society at large’s responsibility. Propaganda has no place in this process. Fight fire with fire. They hit you with 1 stone, you throw back 10. That is the way of Anarchy.
Here are several solutions to modern societies problems but no-one is willing to admit societies faults and be honest with itself. Allow me, KAO$ to offer some non-PC solutions to our current woes.
1-Build the biggest nuclear reactor plant mankind has seen up to date at Area 51. NASA can launch all their missions from there. Build enough reactors to allow all of America to just plug in, instead of using fossil fuel. Huge public works program building the new grid for the 21st Century. Everything is electric. No emissions.
2-Build the biggest prison on Earth to work at the above nuclear powerplant. Good behaviour gets them out of there. Think about it. We can make pedofiles work in the central reactor. Then rapists and murderers. Make it the most efficient power supply source known to man.
3-Repeal “Don’t ask, Don’t tell” fully and completely. Hear me out. I don’t think we should discrimate at all about a volenteer security force. I say let the homosexuals serve openly amongst the heterosexuals in the service. You crazy? We would have the best dressed, well organized, lethalest fighting force on the planet. They would show up with their Sexy Marines and Navy Seals and Army Rangers and kick ass. They wouldn’t let any country F$%k around with us. They would protect us just as much as every1 else out there fighting for our survival is. Don’t kid yourself, alot of people want 2 c us dead.
4-Make gold the standard. It is already. Nobody trusts money. Isn’t that ironic? Paper is worth SH$T. Bull walks. NIXON was wrong 2 take us off of it. Gold has no loyalty. It’s worth what it’s worth b/c we can do stuff with it. Societies bull economic systems will eventually even up 2 the Black Market. Which is Anarchy. Against the superfluous elite who think they have all the control because they have some pompous title. There was already a revolution against that. If I’m not mistaken, a few heads rolled because of that. The Proletariat and the Bourgeosie have been there before in France and Russia. It always gets violent. There is nothing new
Pay attention and discern. Don’t be so persuaded by hazy facts and subtle subterfuge. Think for yourself. Only the truth will shine past the lies of ones trying to gain “Control”.
